CCNE Organises 2024 Yearly Meeting in Bucharest, Romania

The Crisis Communications Network Europe (CCNE) marked its fifth anniversary with a vibrant annual meeting, hosted by Lighthouse in Bucharest. Over two enriching days, we deepened the bonds that make CCNE such a unique network.

Our first day kicked off with each member presenting the media and stakeholder landscapes in their respective countries. We were inspired by two keynote speeches: the first by Sergii Bidenko from Ukraine, who spoke about psychological resilience, and the second by Paul Herinean, who delved into the nuances of body language and non-verbal communication.

In the afternoon, we engaged in the Zombie Game crisis simulation, an innovative exercise developed by PM • Risk Crisis Change (Belgium), which added an element of excitement and practical learning. We concluded the day with a delightful dinner at the historic Caru’ cu bere restaurant, where we enjoyed the local cuisine in the heart of Bucharest.

The second day began with the remaining members completing their presentations on the media and stakeholder landscapes. This was followed by each attendee sharing a key insight, concept, methodology, or framework, all of which were added to our shared “CCNE toolbox”, a valuable resource accessible to all members.

Our event concluded with strategic discussions about the future of our network. After heartfelt goodbyes, we departed with renewed energy and anticipation for our next gathering.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our friends at Lighthouse for their impeccable hospitality. We eagerly look forward to our next event, which will be generously hosted by 24/7 Communication in Warsaw, Poland.
